When it comes to picking out a new heating and air conditioning system for your home it’s best to do some research before you spend any money. Geothermal heat pumps can be particularly tricky to figure out. There are a lot of different models, manufacturers, and installation methods. Educate yourself with our geothermal heat pump reviews like this one on the Bosch Greensource i Series SL Model.
The i Series SL Model comes in a range of operating sizes, and it features a dual refrigerant circuit for two stage control.
The i Series SL can be configured for horizontal or vertical applications.
It features a belt drive fan, eco-safe and chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant, a G-90 galvanized steel cabinet, stainless steel drain pan, copper coaxial heat exchanger, 4-way reversing valve, and refrigerant service connections.
The i Series SL Model features a reciprocating compressor on 072 and 096 units, and this is definitely a subpar compressor for geothermal heat pump operation. The 120 size unit does come with a single-stage scroll compressor, but you can do better than either.
This unit comes with a 1-year parts limited warranty and a 5-year compressor limited warranty. These are both below average in terms of what Bosch offers on some of their other geosource units and the industry standard.
The Bosch Greensource i Series SL Model Geothermal Heat Pump is cheap compared to some other geothermal heat pump systems, but that’s about all that can be said for this definitively low quality system.
